This being my little kingdom I thought we really ought to get to know each other a little bit better. I'll even do you the courtesy of going first ;)
I wanted to talk a little bit about my absolute favourite fashion style for babies and kids, what's known as Baby Boho.
What's this boho all about you ask? A fountain of knowledge on this...
Most basically, when you think baby boho, Think comfort. A key ingredient in Boho Chic is comfort above all else (without compromising aesthetics of course) you'll see a lot of soft, loose-fitting, flowy clothes, often worn in layers. It's a style of fashion drawing on various bohemian and hippie influences, creating an almost dreamy look.
My favorite fecher of baby boho is that once you build the wardrobe around it you can start mix and matching outfits almost blindly. There are no don'ts, only an invitation to play with soft colors daring to combine textures and shades you never thought of before.
It's important to remember while enthusiastically playing dress up through our kids that comfort is and will always be the top priority, at least I believe it should be. Having said that, try and make the most fun out of this stage - they will pretty soon have their own fashion sense god help us! Try to make a difference while they're young and impressionable:)
But seriously now, getting back to the subject in hand, That's one of the reasons why I adore this style so much - it always beautiful and chic and yet comfy with room to explore and play.
You can see so many labels today following this line of design and what you'll find in common with all of them is the use of finer scale fabrics, and an emphasis on softness and movement.
Till next time,
